Launched in July 2015, the "predictability of law" challenge, organized by the Open Law association in collaboration with AXA Legal Protection and the Paris City Council, is part of the process of construction for a more open law. It aims to simplify access to the law, by proposing to the new actors of the legal system a program of co-creation on the topic "how to anticipate the legal difficulties of an individual? ".
The awards ceremony, on Thursday, September 17, 2015 has rewarded two of the most innovative projects by:
- The Predictability Challenge Prize (5000 € prize money)
- The Jury's "Coup de Coeur" Prize (2500 €)
The 6 project teams are as follows:
LAWCRACY: represented by its founder Benoît Liénart: Third parties of legal confidence for individuals and small businesses. Their mission: to make quality legal services more accessible by helping clients solve their problems
WECLAIM: represented by its founder Frédéric Pelouze: Platform for linking lawyers and victims (or consumer associations) born in 2014 of the desire to allow lawyers to group litigants in the context of collective actions in court and to allow litigants to join online a collective action in a few clicks.
YOUSTICE: represented by Emmanuel Mouclier (head of development): Application that helps to solve problems related to online shopping. It allows businesses to communicate with their customers and find a solution to their claims.
LEGALUP: represented by its founder Arnaud Biju Duval: connects anyone with legal needs with a team of legal professionals and a community of people with the same needs.
DROITS D'URGENCE: represented by Jérôme Giusti (president of the association and lawyer at lacour): promotes access to the rights of the most disadvantaged and raises awareness in the legal world against exclusion
ARNAUD LEFRANCOIS & PIERRE SIEGEL: 2 independents, Pierre Siegel is a researcher in artificial intelligence
